Caribbean – Oasis of the Seas (March):  Stephanie her friend joined us on a short cruise in the Eastern Caribbean on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas.  The Oasis is the largest cruise ship at sea, and all enjoyed the activities both on board and in port.
Panama Canal – Coral Princess (April):  We had an exciting trip from San Pedro to Ft. Lauderdale aboard the Coral Princess.  While our travels have taken us to the seven continents, traveling through the Panama Canal ranks among the most exciting.  The sacrifices of those who built the Canal is stunning, and the precision that ships navigate through the Canal is amazing.
Las Vegas, NV – Family Reunion (June):  Stephanie participated in an international study program in Brisbane, Australia.  Paul accompanied her to Los Angeles as she connected to Sydney, and Paul continued his journey to visit his two sisters living in Las Vegas.  He had an opportunity to help his brother-in-law complete some urgent projects around the house.
Oberammergau Passion Play (August): The Passion Play performed by town folks in Bavaria (Southern Germany) every ten years had escaped us.  We finally had an opportunity to see the Play performed and enjoyed a Viking River Cruise from Nuremberg to Budapest, Hungary.  During the years that we lived in Germany, we had several opportunities to visit Regensburg, Vienna Austria, and Budapest.  It was nice to return and revisit some of our memories of our previous visits.
Coronado - Anniversary Celebration (October):  We were married in San Diego, and this was first time we returned to stay at Hotel Del Coronado where we celebrated following our wedding.  We visited friends and many of the sites we enjoyed when we lived there in the early-‘80s.
